Just discovered Bear and taking it for a test run
Having been online since before "blog" was a word, having witnessed the rise and fall of many platforms and the steady enshittification of the web, what a breath of fresh air it is to engage with something simple and clean. I have been squatting on Substack for the last few years, and as it has grown in success, with bigger and shinier bells and whistles, it feels less and less like the place I want to be.
So making no commitments yet, but: this is nice. This is very nice.
